Singing for the Children of the World

UNICEF and the German Choir Organisation ‘Deutscher Chorverband’ announce a series of charity concerts for the suffering children of this world. Music changes the world. Just like every single tone counts in a song, every single child is important to UNICEF. ‘We call on all choirs in Germany to raise their voices for the children!’, say Unicef and the German Choral Assisiation. On May 24th 2008 the initial event will take place at the choir festival in Bremen. Around 10.000 singers are expected. The festival will feature Freeze 4U’s song ’The beauty of our world’. This is the official song and leitmotif of the project. All choirs are invited to add the song to their repertoire. The song got known through the aid campaign ’Wavesofsolidarity’ as well as the world wide interactive project ‘United We Change’, that stands for a peacefulness and intercultural dialoge amongst people. By the way: If you want to support this project you will always be welcome at ‘United We Change’.

UNICEF und der Deutsche Chorverband rufen zu Benefizkonzerten zugunsten von Kindern in Not auf. „Musik verändert die Welt. So wie es in einem Lied auf jeden einzelnen Ton ankommt, ist es für UNICEF jedes einzelne Kind, das zählt. Wir rufen die Chöre in Deutschland dazu auf, ihre Stimme für die Kinder zu erheben“, sagten Unicef und der Deutsche Chorverband. Auftakt der Aktion ist am 24. Mai 2008 auf dem Chorfest in Bremen, zu dem rund 10.000 Sängerinnen und Sänger erwartet werden. Zu hören sein wird dort auch das Lied „The beauty of our world“ von Freeze 4U. Dies ist der offizielle Titel und begleitet diese Aktion als roter Faden. Alle Chöre sind eingeladen, den Song in ihr Repertoire aufzunehmen. Bekannt wurde der Titel vor allem im Rahmen des Hilfsprojekts „wavesofsolidarity“ sowie des weltweiten interaktiven Projektes „United We Change“, das sich für friedliches Miteinander und interkulturellen Dialog einsetzt. Übrigens: Wer dieses Anliegen aktiv unterstützen will, ist jederzeit auch bei „United We Change“ willkommen.
